Some sketches I drew over summer~

I've been thinking... should I make an art LJ? This was supposed to be it, but most of the journals here are for bitching about life and spamming with photos |D; I think it'd be more organized and stuff, I'm just afraid of abandoning one or the other XD; Oh well, I'll just deal with my messy journal for now~

So I'm working on an animation right now and I decided to buy Advanced Photoshop 58 because this issue had tips on animating. Only... I figured out these tips on my own. |D; C'est la vie~ At least I learned fancy terms for the things I do~ This animation will be a ~~fail~~ rotoscope, by the way~ Ooh, I feel so fancy using that word~

This kinda makes me think... what kind of artist do I want to be? Originally, I wanted to be a doujinkka. But I really suck at paneling/coming up with plots. I guess I can take a class on the former and maybe ask for fanfiction to solve the latter XD; Ugh, but I don't wanna work on a commission-basis/something that makes me feel like I have a deadline even when I don't. |D; I'm already doing that with beta'ing fanfiction |D;;;; Maybe if the writers gave me deadlines, I'd feel less lazy XD;;;; ~~MAYBE I SHOULD JUST NOT BETA.~~

So I kinda wonder... should I focus more on animation? It's so fun~ Technically, I have to come up with plots, but... they're smaller... IDK. But animating takes up so much effort |D;;;;; It's fun, but frustrating sometimes |D; Frustrating in a way that makes me wish for a tablet |D; BUT I SWEAR TO BE A REALLY GOOD MOUSE ARTIST BEFORE I'M OLD ENOUGH TO BUY A TABLET!! ~~This defeats the purpose of needing a tablet |D;;;~~

Maybe if I make this a living I'll get myself a tablet~ For now, it'll only be a hobby~

This brings in the question of what I wanna be when I grow up |D; I've wanted to be a psychologist for quite some time now. But over time, I've realized I suck at reading emotions/understanding people/anything really psychological. So I wonder if I should go into art or something like that. I kinda want to go into design for advertising * v * But IDK, I think I would hate my hobby if I made it my living |D;;; Oh well, I still have some time to think~

LIFE IS CRAZY RIGHT NOW.

First, I caught my dad looking at my iPod... OSHITOSHITOSHIT. I PUT ALL OF MY FAVORITE ~~PORNY~~ DOUJINSHI IN THERE. I FOUND HIM STARING SPECIFICALLY AT THE "PHOTOS" FOLDER. He didn't say anything... but I wonder.... maybe he's being nice |D; He tells me a lot of the time, "You think I don't know you, but I do; you just don't notice" So it might be ME being the oblivious one rather than him |D;;; BUT STILL OH MY GOOOODDDDDDD. MY SUPER-ULTRA-CONSERVATIVE FATHER MIGHT KNOW I HAVE GAYPORN IN MY IPOD!!!!!!! M-maybe Uryuu looks too girly for him to notice |D; BUT STILL. HE KNOWS I HAVE PORN.

Next, OMG I'M SO OBLIVIOUS!!!! Am I really that dense?!!! First, it started with my friend Stephanie. I had seen her around, somewhere... but I couldn't tell where... So on the first day of high school, 5th period, I say, "Hey, you're familiar-looking!" And she's like, "Yeah, I went to middle school with you... and elementary school, too." And I'm like, "WHAT THE HELL YOU HAVE BEEN LIKE EVERYWHERE IN MY LIFE AND I ONLY NOTICE YOU NOW!?!? IN HIGH SCHOOL!?!? 2 PERIODS AWAY FROM DISMISSAL!?!?" Ok, so yeah. I thought the first time I met him was in honors orchestra. I thought he played viola like a god and he was really cute, too. And then, I discover he goes to my high school! :D And me being a viola = me sitting close to him!! :D So yeah. He's mostly been just a kind of passer-by friend, but he's a nice aquaintance! And it's fun hanging out with him cuz he plays so many instruments and songs and OMG HE LIKES BLEACH AND JOHNNY YONG BOSCH. :D <3333 And did I mention he's Filipino? -has a thing for them- So yeah, he's just a really cool person~ And then-!! On Monday, he was wearing this shirt. OMG was that a lion on it...? It looks a hellalot like... MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S T-SHIRT.

Anyways~ I colored a doodle from Himaruya-sensei~~~ Viet Nam is so adorable~~~

I'm developing a more painter-esque style, so I'm really happy~ I used to really hate using a hard brush with low flow cuz it looked dirty, but it actually looks really cool as a big brush. Also used smudge and finger painting~ I haven't used those in forever |D; They take so long |D;;; And I really didn't understand fingerpaint last year. But now I know that long strokes are really really pretty and good for shining things. I really want a more dodgey style though :\ Still can't get how to use that... There used to be these things in the background, I wasn't sure what they were. Tomatos? Meat buns? Lotus...? So I erased them |D; That star is so blurry and rounded =w= It's really cute being so rounded though =w= But I wonder if I'm offending anyone |D;;;;;;;

I believed in you. I put all my faith in you. I’m sure she did, too. You always won, no matter what, somehow, some way. The good guys always win. Isn’t that what they say? And yet… This is not the end. It can’t be…!

“STOP!”

Her scream.

That blast.

That hole.

Her face.

I couldn’t take it anymore.

He stood in front of her as she ran towards the other. “It’s useless,” he said. “Your powers aren’t enough to bring him back to life.”

I snapped and immediately jumped to attack him. I was enraged. He can’t say that. No one hurts Inoue-san. No one hurts Kurosaki.

That monster easily deflected my arrow with a swat of his wing. I was fazed for a moment, but I didn’t let that stop me. “Licht Regen!” Thousands of my spirit arrows hurdled towards him. Had I done it?

“I’m shocked.”

How!? I leapt down as the smoke cleared and I could see that beast’s face again. “Of all of Kurosaki’s friends, I thought you were the calm one.”

“I am calm. That’s why I can fight you…!”

I started conjuring my arrows again as I leapt towards him.

There was only a flash, but this searing pain burned my left arm. I leapt backwards as I put anesthetic into it. That bastard took away my firing arm; I couldn’t use my arrows anymore, but…!

“Ishida…!” I heard as I landed. I looked over and saw her, standing over the body with a look of pure despair.

“Inoue-san… you take care of Kurosaki.”

As long as I had one arm, I could still fight; I still had Seele Schneider, I still had my bracelet, I still had my pride. I leapt towards the Espada once more, the blade in my hand. Kurosaki…! I will avenge you!

“Ishida!”

How to use Open Canvas Yume style

A mini tut, I guess??

XD

1. Open something to color XD
2. Make a new layer and bring it under the first one

3. I forgot to mention!! Set Layer 1 on Multiply so you can color under it without needing to erase the white or something!! XD Use the Watercolor 2, cuz I think it's prettier XD (click image for full view)

4. Make little blobs...? XD

5. Spread~ Otherwise called Smudge~~ Use spread 1. Click on the blob I suppose and just wiggle it up and down XD Also, since Ichi's head is so small, I used a Size 5 Watercolor and a Size 5 Spread. I suppose it's good to use the same or about size for both the brush and the smudge?? XDD;;;

6. However, I think Spread (Flat) is prettier~~ You get sharper movements and keep the watercoloryness I suppose...?? FABRIC~~ I GUESS

1. More blobs?? |D;; Try to put them along where the shadows would be?? |D;;

2. More spreading??? Umm, but instead of the up and down thing just try following the folds and lines~ If it doesn't look so nice then you can go back down (on a different stroke??) to clean it up~ OOPS! What if you messed up a differnt stroke? (No example cuz I'm lazy, but you can kinda see it on one of the arrows not following the folds knee Ishi's knee...does that makes sense?? |D;;) Then just redo that one, that's what I do... (DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE??) It'll usually look fine, not perfect, but that's the point~ To get it looking like it was painted, kinda XDD;; I also like to use the Spread to clean up stuff like you see in Step one where it's on Ishi's pants. Just click around there and move it a little away from where you don't want it?? |D;;; Basically push it to where you DO want it |D;;; Give some little nudges to be precise if you want to~

I hope this makes sense!!!! I'm not that good with Open Canvas myself |D;;; I only use it to lazily color doujin stuff |D;;;;;;; But if more people ask, I'm willing to make a proper tutorial!!

My dad fixed the computer!!!!! We thought it crashed cuz it burned up, but it's fine now~~ LOLOLOL It was probably too dusty lol~~ But then there was an internal problem!!! DDDD: But he fixed that too~ LOL Yayz!!!!!! >w< And this time it didn't take 2+ weeks!!!!

Every time I have a computer problem I always freak out because I'm REALLY afraid of needing to take the darn thing to Geek Squad or something |D;;; I just don't want them to find my IchiIshi pr0nz XDDD I would be in SOO much trouble. DD:

I think we should buy a new computer and do a file transfer, though, cuz this hard drive won't update from Windows XP to Service Pack 2 so all the AntiVirus/AntiSpyware programs won't work... :| So it's really vunerable...

LOL also, we got a new computer |D;;;; So now everyone in my family has their own computer including my sister, lolololol~~ XDDD Now my brother doesn't have to use my dad's computer and all our stuff will be less likely to be attacked since we won't use that thing that much anymore~~~

LOL and now that we have a new computer!!!!! My brother's starting D. Gray-Man!!! Yaaaaaayyyzzzzz!!!!!! He REALLY likes it!!!!! >w< He says it's a lot better than Naruto!! XD He doesn't like Kanda that much, though... |D;;; he thinks Kanda is too Sasuke-like |D;; -cough-Ihavetoagree-cough- Well, I think Kanda's like Ishida in that you won't like him at first, lol~~~ You'll love him later for sure |D;;
He's also starting Gintama!!!!! >w< YOU SHOULD TOO. IT IS EPIC CRACK. AND THERE'S BLEACH REFERENCES IN THE FIRST EPISODE FTW!!!!
And now he's being less lazy about Death Note~ Yayz~ He still needs to catch up on Bleach though XD

I did these a while back too... ^^;; My memory, it fails me~

Anyways, I did not draw these, however I DID color these when I first got Open Canvas to try it out!!

This one is by and dive. The first one, so I was just messing around. I love how Open Canvas makes paint-like strokes, even for mouse-users~ I also love using its smudge tools~~

This one is by... OH NO!! I forgot who made this!! I just found it in my Pictures folder and really wanted to color it!! Gaaaah... if anyone knows, please tell me so I can credit them!! I had a lot of fun with this even though there's so little colors |D;; The smudge tool is amazing~ I'm actually proud of how it came out~ But I would really like to credit the original artist!!

Critique is not needed, this is just me playing around~ I would love to color more sketches in the future~ I'd like to have an official collaboration, too, not just me messing with colors~
